KIS – “Keep It Simple”.

KIS principle states that most systems work best if they are kept simple rather than made complex; therefore simplicity should be a key goal in design and unnecessary complexity should be avoided. It is the principal of making things just complex enough to solve the problem, but not more.

We have stripped down to a minimum and simplified all elements in order to achieve maximum efficiency. With the KIS construction, we drastically reduce the number and total length of the stitching, especially in the important areas such shoulders, upper body and arms. The length of the stitching is reduced up to 50% compared to similar products.

All additional elements (pockets, reinforced areas) are covered under the main fabric and, where possible, they are incorporated in the garment using the backbone stitching which already exists.

Advantages of the construction:

  1. Allows for full use of the fabric’s properties
  2. Increases the durability and the life of the product by drastically decreasing the number of possible failure points
  3. Creates a clear and minimalistic look

PATHFINDER is the only manufacturer in the world bringing you this construction.

EMS – Enhanced Mobility System

EMS combines all methods for garment design which provide unrestricted freedom of movement without compromising its protective qualities. It includes gusseting in the crotch and under-arm areas; articulating the areas of bending around the elbows and the knees; increasing the length of the back; choosing the right length and volume of the sleeves and pant legs, as well as the angle of the sleeves relative to the main body of the garment. Not only does EMS provide high level of comfort, but it also reduces the tension in the fabric and stitching in the points of folding and stretching. All these techniques increase the durability and the product life as well.

Double needle flat felled seams:

extra durable flat seams, providing excellent wind resistance even under stress.

YKK Zippers

The YKK company is the world’s foremost zipper manufacturer, creating the best zippers out there that would hold up over long periods of time in the end product.

All our products use reliable YKK zippers.

AMANN Threads:

For more than 150 years, AMANN has been setting trends and designed the future of sewing and embroidery threads with its path breaking product developments. All our products use top quality AMANN threads.

WLR1 is a very durable and abrasion resistant fabric: 65g/m2 ripstop polyamide 6-6 with DWR finish.

Polyamide 6-6

Polyamide 6-6 is a polymer from the nylon class. It has a melting point of 265°C, high for a synthetic fiber. This fact makes it resistant to heat and friction. Its long molecular chain results in more sites for hydrogen bonds, creating chemical “springs”, making it very resilient. It has a dense structure with small, evenly spaced pores. This means that polyamide 6-6 is difficult to dye, but once dyed it has superior colorfastness and is less susceptible to fading from sunlight and ozone and to yellowing from nitrous oxide. Polyamide 6-6 is used in places that get a lot of wear and tear, when high mechanical strength, great rigidity, and good stability under heat are required.

ZeroGravity A2 by Concordia®

Zero Gravity A2 is a very breathable, durable and abrasion resistant fabric: 48g/m2 polyamide 6-6 with DWR finish.

Ripstop fabrics are woven using a special reinforcing technique that makes them resistant to tearing and ripping. During weaving, (thick) reinforcement threads are interwoven at regular intervals in a crosshatch pattern. Thin and lightweight ripstop fabrics have a 3-dimensional structure due to the thicker threads being interwoven in thinner cloth.

Advantages of ripstop are the favourable strength-to-weight ratio and that small tears can not easily spread.

DWR – (Durable Water repellent)

DWR finish is a coating added to fabrics at the factory to make them water-resistant (hydrophobic). It helps ward off water from the fabric’s surface.
